I think this is great. I’m a big fan (CA resident and she was my previous candidate of choice) so I don’t know if it’s bias but she just seems so much more relatable than other candidates and politicians. She’s just “normal”. She’s on podcasts, which “normal” people listen to. She’s cooking dinners. She’s taking calls from the kids. Normal in quotes because I recognize there’s no actual normal but the societal idea of normal in this context.
These quotes are great and I think she really shines.
I absolutely love that she’s doing podcast interviews! I truly believe that more politicians should and not just with celebrity hosts but with indie hosts who have a listening audience of everyday people. These conversations are what are needed to help MVP and for the rest of us to get to know her!
I agree! Podcasts give us longer and more personal interviews than we get elsewhere. I didn't expect this interview to go as deep as it did. She covered so much ground
I only recently started listening to her podcast because, well, Love Island. This was a crossover that I did not have on my bingo card this year and my god was it good. The IG comments when Alex posted that it was live were filled with “vote for Trump” (which kind of shocked me), but the interview was really well conducted and Kamala had a lot of great sound bites that I hope stick with the long-time, undecided listeners.
I keep telling myself that for every MAGA-passionate person who was mad enough to go leave a comment, there are at least 5 other somewhat reasonable people who listened who might not have otherwise been exposed to a long-form interview with Kamala Harris.
That was a truly fantastic conversation on the podcast. Really well done. I am a million times more pro-Kamala than I was before, which is crazy, because I was already so pro-Kamala.
Podcast interviews are good strategy. Introducing her to undecided voters or maybe even change the minds of those who were planning to opt out. I watched a couple of Trump’s podcast interviews and there was absolutely no push back or real questions given to him…So he lied as much as he wanted.
I loved this interview so much. I thought Kamala seemed comfortable and competent and connected in that way she does. The comments on the IG posts about the episode, however, are horrific.
I love all the various media she’s done and is planning to do. When I mentioned this to a fellow Harris supporter she said she heard that tr*mp had done 60 interviews over a specific period of time and that this was her campaigns response to this. Is there any truth to that? Not to mention he only does interviews with media that will be friendly to him and doesn’t reach any new or undecided voters.

I feel like the trolls find everything! I’ve seen them on everything where you wouldn’t expect the MAGA crowd otherwise.
So true!
Emily you're so damn good at this. These points should be spread all over. Hope you're getting whatever care you may need right now too.

This is such a great breakdown! Thank you for sharing!
I agree, the Call Her Daddy interview was such a smart move!
