Three hours of phone banking with a team of 20 in PA this morning resulted in 53 vote plans and 250 strong Harris IDs! Did I get up at 5:40 am to make it happen? Yes. Am I tired? Yes. Was it worth it? Hell yes!
Letting you know on behalf of my friend that he was banned for the above comment. Here's what he sent me to post:
"richard leland levine attempted to have age requirements for a certain set of surgical procedures removed on zero evidentiary basis.
we don't even need to talk about the specifics. the fact that he is still in the administration is the scandal.
you might be interested in reading a little about upcoming supremem court case united states v. skrmetti. personally i think its of note that a wpath publication - cited in lawsuits against state restrictions on a certain set of surgeries and pharmaceutical treatments - cited something called "the eunuch archives" which also hosts erotic fiction centered on the subject of...well ill just leave you to wonder.
not a single mention of this subject in this article at all, even though its the subject that i have seen by far the most trump campaign ads about. you're literally pretending that you don't even know what i'm talking about. like come on..."
I think I can assume I will be banned for this comment. Bye! Hope this helps.
I canvassed in Monroe Michigan yesterday. A very red town. I knocked on many doors and met many voting for Kamala and we made sure they had a plan. But I also had three very promising conversations with people who didn’t plan to vote but now hopefully will! 🫶. It’s helped with my anxiety for sure. It was my first time and if you are reading this and are in a swing state, get out there and do it! Yes you can!! I’m an introvert and I felt like I nailed it! 😂. Thankful for Emily amick, Brian Derrick, Glennis and vibes only for many talking points. My favorite talking point is public school education! Donald trump wants to gut this. It’s important to almost everyone! Even a 20 year old man recognizes that they utilized public school education. Walz shared a number that was something like you invest a dollar and the return is 12, or you save 12. I can’t remember the exact fact. But the idea is that feeding the kids and providing them a good education helps them get on the right path to a good life!
I canvassed for three state level Democrats today in my state of Kansas. I was pleasantly surprised by how many unaffiliated voters either outright said they are voting for Democrats or were very interested in hearing about the candidates. Made me much more hopeful going into these next ten days!
I did door knocking in a very red neighborhood in Phoenix where I had promising conversations with several registered republicans voting for Harris! They are very secretive about it.
Thank you Emily!!!! I had a short conversation with my SIL yesterday and found out she had her absentee ballot but that she was undecided 🤯 I followed up with a lengthy text this morning about why Harris is a good choice and she told me she is heavily leaning voting that way! I’m hoping her and her finance end up voting blue from Winnebago county in WI! This is motivating to me to try and think of others who may be undecided and chat with them too!
I've written 400 postcards, 20 letters, used Ripple, and will be volunteering tomorrow to prep lit packets. Still feel like I'm not doing enough, and the anxiety is real. I'm in NC and things feel disappointing despite all the effort, but I'm not going to stop.
I’m not referring to yard signs. There are very few of either where I am near Charlotte. My comment was mainly regarding what I’m hearing out and about.
Ah, I see. I'm not under the illusion that NC will make the right choice, but I also think that Trumpers are much louder about their support because it's essentially a cult at this point. Most people I know who support Harris (me included) are not out there shouting it from the rooftops in public. Understandably so, after a guy tried to invoke an altercation with me after I took a photo of a Kamala poster while walking down the street. I don't trust Trump supporters to not use violence and intimidation against me for supporting Kamala. I'm sure others feel the same.
I think it really depends where you are. I'm in Raleigh and see a lot more Harris signs, but my parents are in Garner and their neighborhood has more Trump signs (not surprising). Everyone I know at work and my social circles are voting Harris. NC is truly deep purple. Trump has never won NC by a huge margin, it's always been really close. Turnout matters.
Thank you Emily! I keep thinking I couldn’t possibly know any undecided voters but I keep posting and talking about the reasons I voted for Kamala just in case. 22 of my contacts on Ripple have already voted, I added 90!
One of my favorite things that is often missed is public school education. Donald trump would like to dismantle this while dems would build. In Michigan we’ve added universal pre k and are slowly rolling it out. But the earlier kids are entered in to school the sooner they have access to resources if they are struggling with any learning disabilities. I saw a fact that said boys are actually struggling in school and are behind girls. Creating an additional year where they can receive extra resources may help them stay on track. Also, Im A mom of three girls who believes that we all deserve a good life! I think that’s a big reason why men are swinging to trump, as if we are fighting against one another. Most women just want an even playing field. 🫶. And equal rights of course!
Honestly this is fantastic! Overseas voter here and have been helping people register, request ballots and get them back since September. The embassy said they’d never had as many people sending ballots back through them EVER as they’ve had the past few weeks. And there’s many more who were able to vote electronically, by fax or that used the local post. Everyone far and wide is anxious about this election. Locals are staying up through the night having election result watch parties to hopefully know the outcome.
I’m talking with my friends and clients (I work in the birth world) about how wellness platforms must include actual policy, and the the Harris/Walz team is prepared to follow through with action. My kids and I are volunteering all week handing out sample ballots at early voting, and the number of lifelong R’s telling us they’re voting blue is truly astounding - something I haven’t seen in my years of volunteering.
Have been out canvassing three weekends so far and planning for next weekend as well. Also wrote postcards and will be working the polls on Election Day. Action is the antidote to despair!!!
I appreciate your talking points. So helpful! One question I get again and again from Republican family members is why Biden/Harris didn’t codify abortion rights when they had control of house and Senate. I’ve tried to research this question but have not had any real answers. Would love to hear what you say about this.

This is amazing!!! 🤩
what would you say if someone were to ask you about richard leland levine? no mentions of the t-word in this article.
Do you mean Rachel Levine? What is there to say? She's the US Assistant Sec of Health.

Woot!
Way to go! Sometimes talking to family is the hardest.

I’m in NC and see a lot of Trump support…

I'm sending this out to my husband's side of the family many are undecided or lean R.
Thank you Emily, for this, and all of your insights. You are a resource for so many. Be well!

This is fantastic, Emily! Thank you so much for providing direction for higher impact. You are incredible and I’m in awe of all that you do.

Thank you Emily. I spent two hours today phone banking! A lot of hang ups but many voting for Harris. Thanks for your encouragement!
This is so helpful, Emily. Thank you!
This is outstanding. Thank you so much for this!
