The timing of this list was impeccable - I am planning to confront my parents about their support for the administration tonight and going low/no contact. It's going to be one of the hardest conversations I've ever had and the advice on this list really gave me a boost this morning. Thank you.
This is a great list and helpful reminder. Another important one: do the things that bring you joy with people who bring you joy (dance, paint, watch RHO…, needlepoint, book club, cards, travel…etc) to refill your reserves.
I am a precinct chair for my democratic precinct in North Carolina...may I quote your article in my next precinct email, with full credit of course? I've talked with several people recently who are feeling lost/burnt out/fatigued, and I'd love to share your tips!
"You don't have to be an expert to care" wow thank you, definitely needed that. Sometimes it feels like I shouldn't take action because I don't know every single detail. Great reminder
"Urgency (usually) serves systems, not people" blew my mind. 🤯
Also, the voice "reading" this to me is British. I'm always curious if authors choose the automated voice? I'm immediately 20% more invested when there's a British accent involved, so great choice! 😆

Sending virtual hugs. That's really hard but can be really important. I hope the conversation goes as well as it can go.
Good luck ❤️
Sending peace and kindness. You’ve got this!

Yes and remember that joy is a form of resistance!
“Just because it didn’t go viral doesn’t mean it didn’t ripple” boy did I need to hear that and keep reminding myself of it!
I’ve started writing down all the small actions that I’ve taken to remind myself that I am doing something even if it doesn’t feel like it sometimes

Well said, just shared this with my niece who is overwhelmed and paralyzed by the world right now. Thank you.
The “Done List” is like visual xanex :)
Wonderful list. Going to remember how to hold myself up in this insanity . So grateful for you ❤️❤️
Wow I love this list! By far one of the best recommendations I've seen to prevent burnout and build resilience. Thank you Emily!

I don’t think I did … however if I could have I would have chosen British because that is also my preferred audiobook narration.
I needed this reminder. Thank you.
This list is so helpful and very much needed.
This list is fantastic. Thank you for the reminders!
Perfect reminder and timing. Definitely something I learned from your book!
Thank you, this is what I needed!
Your book is an excellent resource!
