Quick note to everyone who is emailing me asking you can do this month to impact the election. We are literally all influencers when it comes to this election. There’s a lot we can do in the next month that we can cross off our to do lists in about five minutes a day. That’s the kind of engagement we need right now. If you want help starting conversations with undecided friends and family member sign up at ripplevote.org for scripts for every single state. All of your work matters so much!
We will also be doing a live chat tonight for paid subscribers before, after and during the vice presidential debate between Tim Walz and America’s creepy cousin JD Vance. Can’t wait to see you there.
LIVE VP DEBATE CHAT - TONIGHT at 9pm ET!
This weekend while at my book club discussing Elin Hildenbrand’s Swan Song (love her!), I very (VERY) dramatically collapsed off my chair onto the floor.
It was so theatrical that you would have been forgiven for thinking I was playacting one of my beloved murder mysteries, but I wasn’t. I had actually blacked out in the middle of book club.
Luckily I was amidst a group of women who immediately went into mom mode and got me out into a waiting vehicle and on my way to the ER. At one point during the ride we hit unexpected traffic and, though I was swimming in and out of consciousness, I needed to know what was happening.
Nothing brings a type A bitch back to life like needing to know the cause of the damn traffic.
So why was there bumper to bumper traffic on a Sunday in DC? A wellness rally. And not just any wellness rally - one led by RFK Jr, Tulsi Gabbard and Russell Brand.
Quick sidebar here to remind everyone where Russell Brand is in his life cycle of craziness right now. This headline in the Independent really explains it all.
Russell Brand wasn’t exactly baptizing people in the middle of Dupont Circle. This wellness rally had the express purpose of electing Donald Trump.
I fell back out of consciousness. Better to be in a black out, to be honest.
This particular rally, dubbed Rescue the Republic, brought thousands in front of a stage with the slogan “MAKE AMERICA HEALTHY AGAIN.”
The speeches were against government overreach, threats to Americans’ freedoms, and anti-big pharma.
As someone who is literally amidst a health crisis in which I feel the medical system isn’t listening to me and taking my concerns seriously enough, as someone who was being brought to the hospital for a stroke scare in the midst of a rally to “MAKE AMERICAN HEALTHY AGAIN” - I deeply, DEEPLY, understand how people get sucked into this pipeline of wellness to right wing and it’s something we are going to be talking about a lot in the coming weeks.
I’ve already opened a chat thread up about it where we will be discussing and trying to figure out where to go from here..
My own health situation is also why I'm also so passionate about talking about how dangerous it is, because I can assure you that the “WELLNESS” issue is merely a trojan horse for the Trump Campaign, and a grift for Russell, Tulsi, RFK Jr., Jordan Peterson and more.
Let’s get into why this works and what happened this weekend.
